2nd Platoon, Able Co. 2-503, Narang Valley, Kunar
In the middle of March, 2nd Platoon, Able Company climbed the 3200' hill that their outpost usually takes fire from. Not surprisingly they got attacked once they reached the top. Pvt. Finch, 21, of North California shoots the SAW (Squad Automatic Weapon) at the opposite ridge line.

The ambush didn't start until the over-watching helicopters left to refuel. When they returned, the helicopters helped turn the attack from soldiers being pinned down on the edge of a mountain to hitting the fleeing Taliban with heavy guns and rockets, despite shooting back at the helicopters.
(A clip from some some video stories I'm trying to finish on 2nd Platoon now that they're on their way to a new Province and I'm "pinned down" on a NATO base in Kabul trying to fix my Visa.)
